UHMWPE (PE1000) pipes are a type of high-performance wear-resistant pipe made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene as the base material. The molecular weight of these pipes is usually above 3 million, much higher than that of ordinary HDPE (PE100, PE80) materials. The high molecular chain structure endows them with extremely high wear resistance, impact resistance and low friction characteristics, enabling them to be widely used in mining, tailings transportation, mortar transportation and pipelines for highly corrosive media.

UHMWPE (PE1000) pipes are a type of high-performance wear-resistant pipe made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene as the base material. The molecular weight of these pipes is usually above 3 million, much higher than that of ordinary HDPE (PE100, PE80) materials. The high molecular chain structure endows them with extremely high wear resistance, impact resistance and low friction characteristics, enabling them to be widely used in mining, tailings transportation, mortar transportation and pipelines for highly corrosive media.

The wear resistance of UHMWPE is approximately 7 to 10 times that of carbon steel and 3 to 5 times that of ordinary HDPE. When transporting high-solid-concentration slurry, tailings and sand and gravel media, it can significantly extend the service life of pipelines

The breaking impact strength of UHMWPE is close to the highest level among engineering plastics. It remains non-brittle even below -40°C and is suitable for cold regions or strong impact environments.

The coefficient of friction is approximately 0.07 to 0.11, which is over 50% lower than that of steel pipes. This can reduce transportation energy consumption and minimize wall scaling.

It has good resistance to acids, alkalis, salts and many organic solvents, does not rust and does not undergo electrochemical corrosion, and is suitable for the transportation of chemical media and salt-containing wastewater.

The low surface energy of the material makes it difficult for scale and sediment to adhere to the pipe wall, which helps to reduce the frequency of pipe cleaning.

Its density is approximately 0.93-0.96 g/cm³, and its weight is only about 1/8 of that of steel pipes. It can significantly reduce the costs of hoisting, transportation and installation.
