UPVC double-wall corrugated pipe

The full name of UPVC double-wall corrugated pipe is "Hard Polyvinyl Chloride Double-Wall Corrugated Pipe". It is mainly made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and is formed in one step through advanced production technology.
Its structure is very distinctive:
Double-layer design: The cross-section of the pipe wall is of a double-layer structure. The inner wall is smooth, while the outer wall has a circular wave-like pattern.
Hollow interlayer: The inner and outer walls are separated by a hollow space. This design enables the pipe to maintain high strength while using less material (being lightweight).

Good hydraulic performance

The inner wall is extremely smooth, resulting in low water resistance. Its roughness coefficient is only 0.010, which means that to convey the same flow rate of water, a smaller diameter pipe can be used, or the drainage can be more efficient.

Lightweight and quick to construct

The weight is only about 1/7 of that of the same-sized cement pipe. It is very convenient to transport and install. Usually, no concrete foundation is required, which can significantly shorten the construction period and reduce the construction cost.

Flexibility and resistance to settlement

The connection is achieved through rubber ring socket and plug, which is a flexible interface. It can well adapt to the uneven settlement of the foundation. It performs exceptionally well in seismic zones or soft soil foundations and is not prone to damage.

Corrosion-resistant and long-lasting

It can resist the erosion of various chemical media and is applicable within a pH range of approximately 2 to 12. The pipe does not accumulate scale or breed bacteria, and its normal underground service life can reach over 50 years.

Good sealing performance

The socket and plug connection method of rubber rings not only enables quick installation, but also ensures reliable sealing, effectively preventing sewage leakage and groundwater infiltration, and has a good environmental protection effect.

Application Notes

Construction protection: Although the corrugated structure of the pipe material enhances its strength, the wall thickness is relatively thin. During transportation and backfilling, care must be taken to protect it to prevent it from being punctured or damaged by sharp stones or other hard objects.

Low-temperature construction: The toughness of UPVC materials will decrease and they will become brittle in low-temperature environments. Therefore, during winter construction, extra caution is necessary to avoid severe impacts that could cause the pipes to rupture.
