Details
Its official name is "High-Density Polyethylene Structural Wall Hot-Wrapped Pipe". The national standard is GB/T 19472.2 - Type B Structural Wall Pipe. This is the origin of its academic name "B-type pipe". As this technology was initially introduced from the German Kra Company, there is an image-based common name "Kra Pipe" in China.

The manufacturing process of the Kra pipe is quite unique and can be regarded as a high-tech "3D printing" process:
Extruding "printing materials": Heat and melt the HDPE raw materials, then extrude flat sheet materials and U-shaped sheet materials.
Spiral "printing" molding: On the steel mold, these heat-resistant material strips with a temperature of up to 190℃ are spirally wound at the predetermined positions.
Embedding "reinforcement bars": During the winding process, PP or PE corrugated pipes are synchronously embedded as supporting structures. This is like adding "bones and tendons" to the pipeline, significantly enhancing its compressive strength.
Cooling and shaping: Finally, the pipe material naturally cools and solidifies during rotation, achieving a single-step molding process.

Where is it mainly used?

Thanks to these advantages, the application scope of the Kra pipe is extremely broad, especially in the following fields:
Municipal engineering: Urban rainwater and sewage collection and discharge - this is its main application scenario.

During the pipeline connection process, the built-in electric fusion wire is energized and melts, allowing the pipes to integrate seamlessly.
